ABOUT Ren Li
Ms. Ren Li is the Principal of Pyramid Academy for
Gifted Youth, a community enrichment program dedicated to supporting gifted
education in the greater Chicago area. She is also the Co-founder and Board
Chair of CFI Robotics NFP, overseeing
the college planning and international cultural exchange programs. In addition,
she volunteers as a robotics coach, merging her passion for STEAM education
with youth mentorship.
Previously, Ms. Li founded and served as President of
Cornerstone Education, an organization providing global education consulting, a
fully accredited online high school program, K-12 ESL teaching services, and
international student management support to public and private schools in
Chicago. She holds a B.A. in English Literature/Education with a focus on
Teaching Pedagogy from Capital Normal University and an M.Ed. from Wuhan
University. In 2000, she earned her MBA with distinction from the University of
Illinois at Chicago and spent 10 years as a lead consultant at a leading
marketing research firm. She is a member of NAFSA, the American School
Counselor Association, the Institute of Multisensory Education, and the
International Literacy Association.
An active community leader, Ms. Li has played a
significant role in the Chinese American community. She served as Vice
President and later President of UCA IL (United Chinese Americans Illinois
Chapter). From 2019 to 2021, she served on the council committee for Cook
County 4-H, promoting youth development across Illinois. She also serves as
Vice President of the Chicago Hubei Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Li has been deeply involved with the UCA WAVES –
Youth Mental Health Collaborative Parent Committee, advocating for mental
health awareness among Asian youth. She holds a Mental Health First Aid Trainer
Certificate and certifications in Positive Parenting Training and Circle of
Security International Training. Her mission is to foster the positive and
healthy well-being of future generations.
