ABOUT Sean Moore
Sean Moore is a husband, father, and founder of SMART
College Funding, a college planning firm based in Boca Raton, Florida. Sean has
spent his entire career helping others in the financial services industry. With
18 years’ experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the
table.
Sean is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and has
also earned the professional designation of Chartered Financial Consultant
(ChFC).
Prior to founding SMART College Funding, Sean was Senior
Advisor at a retirement planning firm where he helped hundreds of clients face
the complexities of planning for and transitioning into retirement. After
seeing the strain that college costs placed on his clients’ lives and the impact
it had on many families’ retirement plans, Sean set out to create better
solutions to the college cost crisis.
A sought-after speaker, Sean has presented to student and
parent groups at schools and colleges throughout the United States as well as
corporate groups ranging from small start-ups to top ranking Fortune 100
corporations. He was recently recognized as a Visiting Scholar for his work at
High Point University, the #1 Best Regional College in the South, according to
US News & World Report. Sean has been featured on Lifetime television, in
the Sun Sentinel, Palm Beach Post and Miami Herald and is a regular contributor
to U.S. News & World Report on the topic of college planning. He is
frequently quoted in national publications such as Forbes, Business Insider,
Market Watch, Yahoo Finance, Investopedia and others.
As a way of giving back, Sean is a mentor for Take Stock in
Children, a college scholarship program for low-income students. In addition,
he is a strong advocate for Step Up For Students, a provider of K-12
scholarships enabling low-income families to choose the best learning option
for their children.
Sean lives in Boca Raton, FL with his wife, Tiffany and
their two daughters.
