Applicants for Alumni Leadership Scholarship must be entering freshmen and must be accepted for admission to the University of Montevallo. Applicants must be actively involved in and/or in leadership roles in both their school and community. Proof of leadership must include activity involvement outside of their religious affiliation. This may be done through a portfolio, written essay form, pictures and/or other documentation.Applicants must write a one page essay explaining why they want to attend UM and how their leadership and academic qualities would be an asset to the university.Applicants must submit at least two but no more than three?letters of recommendation. Montevallo Ambassador Program Scholarship (MAPS) awards comprise the University?s most prestigious scholarship program. Ten MAPS awards are given annually covering the cost of room, board, tuition and fees.
