Description
The Regents Scholars selection committee conducts a comprehensive review of the applicant pool to determine the student?s strength and breadth of academic preparation. Selection is based on a thorough review of the admissions application, including, but not limited to, test scores and grades. To be eligible for the Regents Scholarship, you must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or a non-citizen student qualifying under California Assembly Bills 130 or 131 with outstanding academic qualifications. Only students who fall under these categories are eligible for the Regents Scholarship.

The UCSB Alumni Association helps students reach their academic goals by awarding several annual scholarship awards to Gauchos in recognition of achievement and potential. The Alumni Association awards almost $70,000 annually to new and continuing students.

Description
Prospective undergraduate BM performance students may apply for a limited number of Excellence-at-Entrance Awards, donated by the UCSB Music Affiliates. These scholarships, and the Carnzu A. Clark scholarships, are awarded by the Department of Music on the basis of the undergraduate Entrance Auditions in late January. The date of the auditions will be sent to all music major applicants, and applications for Excellence-at-Entrance Scholarships are included in the audition packet sent to all undergraduate Music Major applicants in late December.
