Description

The Captain David Lyman Endowed Scholarship provides financial incentive for Hawaii students to apply to and enroll at the California Maritime Academy and pursue a profession in the maritime field. A minimum of one scholarship will be awarded in the academic year. The total number of awards and amount is dependent on the endowment earnings. Scholarships are on average a minimum of $2,000 per year and are renewable up to a maximum total of four years. Students must apply annually. Failure to maintain academic standing for any semester or comply with the specified criteria outlined below will result in the loss of this award.

Description

The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program is designed to permit students from participating states (listed above) to attend Cal Maritime at reduced tuition rates. Students participating in Cal Maritime's WUE program pay on 50% more than the in-state tuition rate. Incoming freshman and transfer students in all majors who are residents of the following states are eligible: Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI), Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
