Established by Yuen Sang and Yu Yuen Kit So, parents of Peter (?86) and Paul (?88) So, the Yuen Sang and Yu Yuen Kit So International Scholarship Fund provides scholarship support to international students and non-citizens living in the United States and attending Harvey Mudd College. The Office of Admission selects one recipient for each entering class based on superior academic performance as shown in the application for admission. The So award is offered regardless of financial need. The award is automatically renewed for the scholar?s second year, but continuation of the award is contingent upon maintaining a minimum 2.75 cumulative grade point average. All international students are considered for the So Scholarship.

Harvey Mudd College National Merit Scholarships are awarded to National Merit finalists who name Harvey Mudd as their first-choice school and who do not receive either a corporate-sponsored or a one-time National Merit Scholarship Corporation scholarship. Harvey Mudd National Merit Scholarships range from $1,000 to $2,000 per year depending on financial need. Qualifying National Merit finalists who do not apply for or do not receive need-based financial assistance will be awarded the minimum award of $1,000 per year.
