Students who rank number one or two in their graduating class will be considered for the Presidential Scholars Award. An additional one-time Enrichment Award is made available to allow the Presidential Scholar to engage in educationally or professionally enriching activities. Priority consideration will be given to those who complete the application by December 1. Description
Day of Pride Scholarships are awarded to outstanding Connecticut high school seniors from disadvantaged backgrounds who have proven academic ability as demonstrated through high school grades, test scores, class rank, and letters of recommendation. In addition to a commitment to diversity and multiculturalism, demonstrated leadership, and contributions to their community, students should have documented financial need. Nominations will be made by the Guidance Counselor's Office at each Connecticut high school. To be eligible for nomination, the student must be a Connecticut resident graduating from a Connecticut high school.

A small cohort of scholarship recipients are selected each year to hold the title of John and Valerie Rowe Health Professions Scholars. The program is open by invitation to incoming first years and by is awarded to to rising juniors who are Connecticut residents interested in pursuing careers in the health industry. Students who have participated in Health Career Opportunity Programs receive special consideration for the Rowe Scholars Program.

To be eligible for this award, students must be a resident of Connecticut and qualify for the Nutmeg or Day of Pride scholarship. Nutmeg and Day of Pride Scholars will be submitted for review by the University of Connecticut. Selected students will have a required interview with the Admissions staff and the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation.

The Nutmeg Scholarship honors the exceptional accomplishments of Connecticut high school seniors. All semifinalists and finalists in the National Achievement Scholarship Program, the National Hispanic Recognition Program, and the National Merit Semifinalist Competition, in addition to outstanding students from every Connecticut high school may be nominated to apply. Nominations will be made by the Guidance Counselor's Office at each Connecticut high school.
