Description
Students winning the Artistic Achievement Awards will be placed in the Freshman Artist Workshop (FAW) within the Creative Arts Collegium; they will spend fall semester attending studio and workshop sessions and working closely with faculty in Music, Theatre, Creative Writing, and Visual Arts in a rich interdisciplinary arts experience. Students will create a project in each medium and their finished works will be selected for a Freshman Artist Workshop gallery show in spring semester. In order to receive the award in subsequent years, scholarship recipients must take one course per year in Music, Theatre, Creative Writing, or Visual Arts or be involved in choir, a music ensemble, a theatre production, the college newspaper, or the literary magazine.
As all applicants will be considered for participation in the Freshman Artist Workshop, please fill out only one application for the arts area of your choice. Mail all materials directly to the Office of Admission, Eckerd College, 4200 54t
