The SECME, Inc. (Southeastern Consortium for Minorities in Engineering) Scholarship awards $3,000 per year to a limited number of students from SECME High Schools in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Students must meet the academic requirements for admission to FAU and have participated in the SECME program. Renewable for up to four years based on academic achievement. Applicants must also achieve a minimum 1450 SAT(all three sections) or a 21ACT and submit a personal essay, two letters of reference and their scholarship application.

The Bank of America Florida 's Community Scholars Program awards $3,000 per year to first-time-in-college freshmen. Students must demonstrate financial need and must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility. Recipient must also demonstrate a history of community service and have a minimum 3.3 GPA. Award will be evenly divided between fall and spring terms. The student must maintain continuous enrollment, and scholarship eligibility for a maximum of eight semesters.
