Academic Scholarships
Academic Scholarships are awarded to high schools seniors with extraordinary academic achievement who plan to attend Indian River State College. To be eligible, a student must have a minimum weighted cumulative GPA of 3.2, and an 1170 SAT score or 26 composite score on the ACT exam. (Twenty-five scholarships are awarded annually. Renewal students are awarded first,
and the remaining scholarships are awarded to new students.)
This scholarship covers 15 hours of in-state tuition, lab fees and an allowance of $250.00 for
textbooks per Fall and Spring. Does not include summer classes.

Tuition Scholarships are offered each year to students nominated for the Young Floridian Scholarship but were not selected as top candidates. Selected students are mailed applications after Young Floridian top candidates are announced. Students must complete applications and meet all criteria prior to the deadline given. Scholarships applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee, and the students selected will be notified in writing.
