Description
Jacksonville University partners with the City of Jacksonville and the Duval County Public Schools to fund up to three (3) full JU scholarships per year. To be eligible, students must be attending a Duval County public high school, qualify for the federal free or reduced lunch program and be accepted to the University. The students must apply to the Jacksonville Commitment directly as well as submit an additional essay to Jacksonville University. This competitive award will cover tuition, double room (does not include Oak Hall), a full meal plan, and books. It is awarded in the spring prior to the start of freshman year.

The Jacksonville University President's Scholarship is awarded to valedictorians graduating from high schools located in Duval, Baker, Clay, Nassau, and St. Johns counties in Florida. Only one (1) scholarship will be awarded in each county and will require the valedictorians to complete an additional essay prompt. The amount of the President?s Scholarship may be adjusted to maintain compliance with institutional, state, and federal awarding guidelines, however recipients are guaranteed that 100% of tuition will be covered from gift sources.
