Thanks to the generous support of The Goizueta Foundation each year more Hispanic students who apply and receive admission are able to enroll and graduate as Goizueta Scholars from Berry College. Admitted students who are of Hispanic descent or heritage may be considered for The Goizueta Foundation Scholarship. Additionally, students and their families should reside in the U.S. Students should submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 1st. The Goizueta Foundation Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $5,000 per year. Amounts are awarded based on the applicant?s academic merit and financial need

Description
The Leadership Fellows Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship totaling $18,000 over a four-year period. At least fifteen incoming freshman students are selected annually to receive a scholarship and to serve as Leadership Fellows. The scholarship amount is $3,000 for the freshman year, $4,000 for the sophomore year, $5,000 for the junior year, and $6,000 for the senior year. Transfer students are not eligible for the scholarship. High School seniors may apply for a Leadership Fellows Scholarship if they have been accepted into Berry, have a minimum 3.0 Berry-calculated GPA and have had leadership experiences during their high school career.

English-Creative Writing and Nadassy Scholarship
Students interested in majoring in English or creative writing, or minoring in writing may apply for a supplemental creative writing scholarship. Students must demonstrate experience in creative writing through a provided portfolio. Students must submit 5 original pieces (no more than 25 pages total) of at least 2 different genres (short fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction essay, or a selection from a novel) to be evaluated by English faculty. Students interested in majoring or minoring in English may apply for the Nadassy Scholarships. Students applying for the Nadassy scholarship must submit no more than 15 pages of literary criticism from a high school English class.

Admission into the music program is delegated through an audition process held at various times during the academic year. Once a student is admitted into Berry College, depending on the availability of instrumental positions in the performance groups, the admitted may need to audition for eligibility into the department as a Music major. Auditions are required for students to be considered for eligibility of scholarships and other department-sponsored financial aid. Performance grants for non-majors are available depending on the needs of the performance groups. Academic standards must be upheld in order to maintain departmental grants and scholarships. Music scholarships may be renewed but are subject to review by academic advisors annually.

Description
Scholarships in Theatre Arts are available for incoming students who intend to major or minor in Theatre at Berry. Scholarships are available to students with experience and demonstrated talent in acting, stage management, playwriting and design/technical activity. Actors need to prepare two contrasting monologues, approximately 60 seconds each in length (contrasting=classical/contemporary OR serious/comedic).
Students who audition on campus are also invited to sing or dance (16-measure selection) in addition to the monologues if they so desire, but there is no obligation to do so. Designers/technicians should be prepared to share a portfolio with design renderings, technical drawings (ground plans/light plots/costume plots, etc.) as well as production photos. Stage managers should be prepared to share prompt scripts and playwrights should bring several writing samples.
