Out-of-State Tuition Waiver Scholarship (Spring Semester Entry Term)

This scholarship opportunity is in the form of a tuition waiver and is intended as an incentive for students who reside out the state of Georgia to affordably attend the University of West Georgia. All applicants must be willing to participate in an interview as part of the selection process. The out-of-state tuition waiver is renewable, which means that it will be available to students who meet satisfactory academic progress during their UWG career. Students who receive the out-of-state tuition waiver scholarship will have the out-of-state portion of their tuition waived and will only be responsible for the in-state rate of tuition, as with all other Georgia residents. This award does not qualify students for the HOPE Scholarship (only for Georgia residents) and will require a set amount of service hours for students to 'give back' to UWG as a condition for their scholarship.
