The GSU Promise is a scholarship created by President Elaine P. Maimon to assist economically disadvantaged students to complete a bachelor's degree at GSU. Eligible students must be active participants in the Dual Degree Program and be eligible for the Pell Grant. To apply, students must have a GPA of 2.75/4.0.

Governors State University Presidential Scholarship

The highest scholarship honor is the GSU Presidential Scholarship. Up to two students receive the 2018 Presidential Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship covers the cost of tuition and fees for up to 30 credit hours each academic year (fall, spring, summer), academic year semi-suite housing in GSU?s residence hall, a Silver board plan ($1000 per semester), and $500.00 toward books per semester at the GSU Follett Bookstore.
