Description
The San Juan Diego Scholarship covers the majority of college tuition for up to four years for two Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA)-eligible incoming students each academic year. The Juan Diego Scholarship is a partial tuition scholarship and does not cover room and board or school supplies (e.g. books). Students are required to provide $2,000 in tuition each academic year through loans, direct payments or outside scholarships. The scholarship only covers tuition for full-time enrollment during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Criteria to receive and renew:
DACA eligible or conferred at the time of enrollment at Holy Cross College.
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher each academic year.
Provide 13 hours of service per week at Holy Cross College (placements are determined through the Center for Educational Outreach).
Support events and activities directly associated with the Juan Diego Scholarship program.
Meet with the program director at the end of each semester.

Description
The TEACH Grant program is a non-need-based grant program that provides up to $4,000 per year to students who are enrolled in an eligible program and who agree to teach in a high-need field, at a low-income elementary or secondary school* as a highly qualified teacher, for at least four years within eight years of completing the program for which the TEACH Grant is awarded. The student must sign a service agreement to this effect and complete all required counseling prior to receiving a TEACH Grant. If the student subsequently fails to meet the requirements of the service agreement, the TEACH Grant will be treated as a Direct Unsubsidized loan, and the student must repay the TEACH funds, with interest accrued from the date of disbursement, through the Department

Description
The Nicholas Spehar Memorial Scholarship
The Nicholas Spehar Memorial Scholarship is a renewable scholarship established in 2011 by David Gundlach in memoriam of fallen U.S. Navy SEAL, Nicholas Spehar. Through the generosity of Mr. Gundlach and the Elkhart Community Foundation, a funded scholarship will be available to the following priority groups:
Siblings, spouses, or children of military personnel killed in the line of duty. The first priority will be given to fallen Navy SEALs.
Military veterans
Children of military or retired military parents
Additional Criteria:
Must be enrolled, or planning to enroll, in a full-time undergraduate degree program.
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 to apply and renew.
Applicants, as well as their sponsor, should be enrolled in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) database and that they have a current dependent military ID card.
Application must be returned to the financial aid office (priority deadline May 1st).
