Herbert Presidential Scholars Program offers Indiana's top high school graduates four-year renewable scholarships to attend any of IU's seven campuses throughout the state. Description of the scholarship:
The School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) uses the Selective Scholarship Application to recognize high achieving resident and non-resident students with scholarship awards of varying amounts. The awards range from $2,000 to $5,000 per year, and some are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study. SPEA also provides specific award $2,000 awards to students living in the Civic Leaders Center, SPEA?s Living-Learning Community on campus. IU Jewish Studies Scholarships
Multiple incoming freshmen scholarships of up to $40,000 for students committed to pursuing a Jewish Studies major or a certificate at Indiana University Bloomington are available to students entering IU Bloomington and beginning as freshmen. One scholarship is intended for a student pursuing the Jewish sacred music curriculum. Candidates will be considered primarily on the basis of outstanding academic achievement and promise. Extracurricular achievements will also be considered. Students must have a high school GPA of 3.5 or above (out of a 4.0 scale) or equivalent and have a record of academic and extracurricular accomplishment. Students committing to pursuing the major in Jewish Studies will be given priority over students who plan to pursue the certificate.

Named in honor of Herman B Wells, Indiana University’s beloved 11th president, the Wells Scholarship pays the full cost of attendance for four years of undergraduate study on IU’s Bloomington campus. Scholars may choose to spend one of these years studying abroad through the university’s overseas study programs.
Each year, between 18 and 22 incoming freshmen receive the award, based solely on merit. In addition, one to two current IUB students are selected to join the junior or senior class of Scholars.
The Wells Scholars Program offers:
- Close interaction with faculty
- Academic and career mentoring
- International experience and engagement
- Frequent extracurricular activities, often with distinguished visitors
