Description
The James J. Karam Scholarship is awarded to currently enrolled full time student at one of the UMass campuses;or high school seniors applying to any UMass campus. Aside from the GPA requirement, applicants must demonstrate financial need of at least $4,000 as defined by the financial aid office and must be a permanent resident of the south coast of Massachusetts (Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Fall River, Freetown, New Bedford, Somerset, Swansea, and Westport). Students may also be a resident of the town of Tiverton, Rhode Island.
