The Grand Valley State University Symphony Orchestra Scholarship was established to encourage non-music majors who played in Grand Rapids Youth Symphony to join the GVSU Symphony Orchestra to continue to develop their musical talents and perform while in college.
- Candidates for this scholarship shall have been accepted for or be currently enrolled at GVSU
- Recipients must be an undergraduate and enrolled for 12 credit hours
- Recipients must not be majoring or minoring in music
- Candidates must be a current member or alumnae of the string section of the Grand Rapids Youth Symphony
