Description
Each year, the department gives up to three awards to our incoming freshman based upon their creative work. Winners are chosen based on high quality of artwork and potential as an art student at Michigan State University. Award of the scholarships is contingent on admission to MSU and evidence of financial need demonstrated by the FAFSA application. First place will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship renewable for four years, second place will be awarded a one-time scholarship of $1,500, and third place will be awarded a one-time scholarship of $1000.
We invite MSU applicants who intend to major in Art Education, Studio Art, or Apparel & Textile Design to apply for these scholarships by submitting a selection of 10 examples of your work. All submissions will be reviewed by our faculty awards committee to determine the scholarship recipients.
