Journalism scholarships are awarded to students who have displayed a talent for writing in high school classes, on the
school newspaper or yearbook staff, or through self-initiated projects. Students who are awarded this scholarship must
complete ENGL110 (College Writing I) in their freshman year and a humanities or literature course in their sophomore
year. To extend the award into their junior year, they must enroll in COMM380 (Journalism). Extending the award
into the senior year requires enrollment for an additional 3 credits in literature or the humanities. Two contributions in
