Talent Grants are awarded by the Department of Music to first year students in the performance areas of voice, keyboard, strings, percussion and wind instruments. During an audition before the music faculty, your technical skill and musicianship will be assessed. Talent Grant recipients are required to participate in an ensemble in one of the following areas: band, choir, jazz, orchestra or piano accompanying. Private study in voice or on an instrument is encouraged.
