Description
Berg Family Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1991, The Berg Family Endowed Scholarship provides financial assistance to Eastern Montana students with a major or minor in the humanities area. Preference given to residents of a Montana community east of Billings with a population of less than 50,000 with a major or minor in humanities area to include English, Philosophy or History. The recipient must have a 3.0 GPA or above over the past two semesters of college or upon high school graduation, be a full-time enrolled student with a minimum of 12 credits per semester, be a traditional student as defined as a student between 18 and 22 years of age, and show definite financial need. This award is available to freshmen through seniors in college.

Catherine Jane Schwidde Memorial Endowed Scholarship
The Catherine Jane Schwidde Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to an incoming freshman in college for academic year 2018-2019 enrolled in a baccalaureate program. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic ability. A recipient must have and maintain at least a 3.6 cumulative GPA and be a full-time enrolled student. The recipient is eligible to receive the scholarship for up to four academic years or until completion of the recipient?s undergraduate degree (whichever comes first) provided recipient maintains the scholarship criteria and annually submits the MSU Billings online scholarship application.

Description
The Chancellor's Excellence Awards will be awarded each year to freshmen entering Montana State University Billings in September. Recipients receive $4,000 per academic year. Scholars who meet or exceed all of the renewal criteria may expect to have their scholarships renewed for four years for a maximum award of $16,000. In addition, recipients who plan to live in the residence halls their freshman year will receive a housing/dining waiver valued at approximately one-half of the total cost of their room and board.

Badovinac Family Scholarships
The Badovinac Family Scholarship was established to honor the memory of John Badovinac (1910-2001). Preference is given to graduates of Roundup High School. Second preference is given to graduates of specific rural public Montana high schools with fewer than 1,000 students (students of all small, rural Montana schools are encouraged to apply). First preference is given to students enrolled in a program of study at MSU Billings City College. First priority given to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education in the months following their high school graduation, second priority given to returning students who have graduated from rural public Montana high schools in earlier years.
