Maverick Advantage Scholarship
Through a tuition initiative called the Metropolitan Advantage Program (MAP), residents or high school graduates of specific counties of Iowa will be eligible to attend undergraduate and graduate programs at UNO for 150 percent of resident tuition. UNO also offers Iowa undergraduate students in these counties an opportunity to reduce tuition even further through the Maverick Advantage Scholarship (MAS). Chancellor's Scholarship
Beginning with new applicants for Fall 2016, the Chancellor's Scholarship awards $3,000 per academic year to residents of Nebraska who are graduating seniors of Nebraska high schools. Applicants must have a minimum ACT score (or SAT equivalent) of 28-29 and either rank in the top 25% of their class OR have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years if the student maintains full-time enrollment and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Gerbracht Scholarship
A scholarship fund has been established in memory of long-time University of Nebraska Omaha employee William Gerbracht. Upon his death in June 1991, Gerbracht bequeathed a portion of his estate to establish an academic scholarship fund at UNO which is awarded to a first-year student who is the child of a full-time UNO faculty or staff member. The full tuition scholarship is awarded on academic promise, and is renewable if the student maintains an acceptable GPA. To apply, please complete the UNO Scholarship application in MavLINK by March 1st of your senior year. The application process will require you to upload a letter from your parent verifying they are a UNO faculty or staff member.
