Over the past three years, over 80% of admitted out-of-state high school students have qualified for a merit scholarship, which range from $1,000 to $12,000 per year for all four years of study.

Chairman of the Board ? Board of Trustee Scholarship
This scholarship is open to first-year students. Awards are based on academic ability; an assessment of talents, experience, and potential; and a holistic review of how a student might contribute to a diverse educational environment. Preference will be given to students from one of New Jersey?s Abbott School Districts, students who are traditionally underrepresented, or to students who have shown interest in an area of study that the College believes will contribute to its overall mission. Accepted candidates will automatically be considered for these scholarships, which range from $4,500 to $10,000 annually for four consecutive years as long as the student maintains a 3.0 GPA.

Description

First-year in-state applicants to TCNJ are automatically considered for merit scholarships upon submission of their Common Application. These awards are based on a student?s overall academic record (including strength of curriculum, GPA, class rank and strength of high school) and their best standardized test score (SAT or ACT). While there are no minimum criteria to be eligible for a scholarship, competitive applicants should have at least a 1300 SAT (Math and Reading) or 28 ACT.
