Admission to the Honors College is competitive. We seek applicants with a minimum high school GPA of 94 and SAT score of 1310 (ACT 28). However, applications are reviewed holistically, taking into consideration AP courses, co- and extra-curricular activities, and other indicators of student engaged learning. All first-year students admitted to the Honors College in the Fall 2018 semester who are New York State residents are awarded the Prometheus Scholarship in the amount of $4,000 for 2018-19 . The Prometheus Scholarship is a waiver that is applied to room expenses. This non-tuition award will be credited to the recipient?s account to assist with coverage of this on-campus resident expense.

This award for freshman offers a scholarship valued at $4,000 per year for out-of-state students who have demonstrated superior academic achievement throughout their high school program. On-campus residency is required.
