Description

The A.B. Duke Scholarship Program provides more than a merit-based financial award. It offers support for the intellectually adventurous and curious. In addition to receiving financial awards covering full tuition, room and board, and all mandatory fees, A. B. Duke Scholars are encouraged to develop their own curricula and program-funded research projects. Every applicant to Duke University is considered for our various merit scholarships. There is no separate application for the A.B. Duke Scholarship.

But the applicant who demonstrates exceptional promise, intellectual hunger, and an inquisitive spark may be considered a candidate for the A.B. Duke Scholarship.

Description

The Karsh International Scholarship was created to bring together top students from all over the world. Karsh International Scholars are selected from the pool of international applicants to Duke who are qualified for financial aid. This scholarship cover tuition, room and board, mandatory fees, and demonstrated need that exceeds those costs. In addition the scholarship covers up to $7000 of funding for research/service opportunities during the three summers prior to graduation. Karsh Scholars may also apply for support for necessities, such as computers.

The Trinity Scholarships were established in 1984 through the generosity of distinguished Duke alumni to honor Duke?s origins as Trinity College in Randolph County, North Carolina. These scholarships are awarded on a rotating basis to some of the most gifted students residing in North Carolina and South Carolina. Duke has created the Trinity Scholarships with the support of its North Carolinian alumni to attract the finest students from its home state. Today, scholarships are awarded from thirteen endowments and forty-seven Trinity Scholars have graduated from Duke.

The University Scholars Program is a four-year undergraduate program. All University Scholars are required to maintain a normal course load each semester (four semester courses). Continuation in the Program depends on the maintenance of good academic performance, as defined by the guidelines for all undergraduate scholarship holders at Duke. Undergraduate University Scholars receive a University Scholarship providing full-tuition plus a stipend towards room, board and mandatory fees for eight semesters
