Description
The UC National Outreach Award is a scholarship program recognizing the academic merit of students coming to the University of Cincinnati from DC, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Texas, and Virgina.
Students can be awarded a renewable $6,000 annual award to reduce out-of-state tuition costs. For consideration, incoming freshmen must have their complete admission application (to include transcript and official test scores) at UC by December 1st of their senior year.
UC National Outreach awards are renewable for up to 8 full-time, in-class semesters subject to completing the annual 30-hour community service requirement and maintaining a minimum 3.2 grade point average.

Description
Up to 60 National Merit and National Hispanic Scholars Finalists are eligible for the Cincinnatus Excellence Scholarship, which elevates the Cincinnatus award to a scholarship totaling in-state tuition and fees (out-of-state students are responsible for the out-of-state surcharge) and standard residence hall room cost (if living on campus or in university-affiliate housing). Awardees also receive admission to UC's University Honors Program and a $1,500 one-time allocation toward the purchase of a computer, undergraduate research study or study abroad experience.
