Description

Scholarship Program for Graduates of Oberlin High School

Oberlin College offers full-tuition scholarships to qualified graduates of Oberlin High School. Applicants must have resided in the Oberlin School District for at least four years prior to high school graduation, must have attended Oberlin High School for four years, and must continue residence in the area while enrolled at Oberlin College. The Oberlin School District includes the city of Oberlin and parts of New Russia, Pittsfield, Carlisle, and Amherst townships. Applicants also must meet the admission requirements of Oberlin College and complete an on-campus interview with the Office of Admissions.

Oberlin College was pleased to begin partnering with the Stamps Foundation in 2013 to offer merit scholarships for outstanding students. Along with the merit scholarship that assists with the cost of tuition and fees, the Stamps Scholarship provides each recipient with $5,000 of enrichment funds that students can use over the course of their four years at Oberlin. There is no separate application for the Stamps Scholarship. All admitted students will be considered.

Oberlin College sponsors a number of National Merit Scholarships in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship program competition are eligible for consideration for Oberlin-sponsored National Merit Scholarships if they

declare Oberlin as their first-choice college;
have filed an application for admission to Oberlin College; and
have not been selected as winners of other National Merit or Corporate National Merit Scholarships and
are registered as a full time student each semester of school.
