Description

This scholarship is for incoming freshmen with an ACT score of 28-36 or an SAT score* of 1320 or higher. DSU Presidential Champion Scholarship recipients need to have a minimum 3.0 unweighted cumulative high school GPA.

The Presidential Champion Scholarship awards $2,150 per year for up to four years (for up to a total of $8,600). In order to renew this scholarship each year, you?ll need to maintain a 3.0 GPA and full-time continuous enrollment with a minimum of 12 DSU credits per semester.

Description

The Dakota Corps Scholarship Program was created by Gov. Rounds to encourage South Dakota?s high school graduates to:
Obtain their postsecondary education in South Dakota
Remain in the state upon completion of their education
Contribute to the state of South Dakota and its citizens by working in a critical need occupation

Graduate from an accredited South Dakota high school with a Grade Point Average (GPA of) 2.8 or greater on a 4.0 scale. Home schooled students will be allowed to provide supplemental information if this requirement is not applicable.
Have a composite ACT score of 27 or greater (or the SAT equivalent).
Agree, in writing, to stay in South Dakota and work in a critical need occupation after graduation for as many years as the scholarship was received, plus one year.

Description

The South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship provides up to $6,500 over four years to a qualifying student who attends an eligible higher education institution in South Dakota. Recipients may participate in the South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship program for the equivalent of four academic years (eight consecutive fall and spring terms), or until attaining a baccalaureate degree. During each academic year, one-half of the annual scholarship award will be distributed at the beginning of the fall semester and the other half distributed at the beginning of the spring semester:
