The James Lee Walker Endowed Agriculture Scholarship intends to award two recipients (one freshman and one student with sophomore status or above). Established through the estate of Luther Tippit, these scholarships are provided annually to two incoming freshman. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, on-campus dormitory expenses, and on-campus cafeteria expenses. PELP students receive an annual scholarship of $3,000, which is renewable over a four-year period. The Provost?s Out of State Scholarship is designed to assist incoming, out-of-state freshmen as they enter APSU. The amount of the award is determined by the student?s ACT/SAT score. A minimum of 21 on the ACT/1060 SAT score is required to receive an award, with a 26 or higher ACT/1240 SAT required for the maximum award.
This scholarship can only be considered for students who are actually being charged out-of-state tuition and fees. The Provost?s Scholarship is not applicable if your out-of-state charges are already paid by another source, such as athletic scholarships, military waivers, etc.

The Professors' of Excellence Scholarship
This gift is designed to provide four years of scholarship support for one full-time student who is among the top high school recruits for Music at Austin Peay State University. It is the intention of the donors that this scholarship be used to recruit an outstanding music student to APSU who would not choose APSU without significant financial support.
Applicants must complete an audition. The scholarship can be renewed for up to three years if the student maintains a GPA of 3.2, remains a Music Major and meets all other APSU requirements for full-time status.
The Chair of the Department of Music will collaborate with the Dean and the Director of the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts to select the recipient of this scholarship. The recipient will be chosen from the top high school students being recruited for the program that year.
