Bellingrath Scholar represents the very best at Rhodes. Each year, one high school senior with exceptional academic achievements and distinctive personal accomplishments is awarded a Bellingrath Scholarship. This most prestigious of our awards covers the full cost of tuition for four years at Rhodes. The distinction earns student the right and responsibility of representing Rhodes to outside guests. Bellingrath Scholars assist the Office of Admission by participating in on-campus programs, conducting campus tours for prospective students and their families, hosting prospective students during overnight visits, and helping select future Bellingrath Scholars.

Description

Rhodes College is pleased to make available five $10,000 merit scholarships to students who participate in Jewish life in their communities across the United States. Eligible students must apply for admission to Rhodes by January 15th for the Fall 2017 semester, be offered admission and choose to enroll at Rhodes. Fellowship applications will be reviewed by Jewish Community Partners (JCP) of Memphis and JCP will recommend applicants to Rhodes based on their participation in Jewish life and service and based on the responses to an essay prompt. A cover letter, a resume, and a 500-word essay will be required for the JCP recommendation. The essay prompt can be found below.

Through the Taylor Fellowship in Physics, the Department of Physics at Rhodes College provides talented high school physics students the means to continue their investigations at the college level.
