- The student must major in an under represented STEM discipline - Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Geology, or Mathematics.

The H.B. Smith Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a West Tennessee high school senior who has a GPA of 2.5 or higher and has been accepted for admission or enrolled at The University of Tennessee at Martin, majoring in history.
