Description

A limited number of first-year students are awarded Honors Scholarships. These major grants are renewable for three additional years. Honors Scholarships are highly selective and are awarded on the basis of academic performance in high school, SAT or ACT scores and demonstrated leadership potential. The Honors Program involves a mentoring relationship with a professor, as well as honors courses. Students who apply for admission by November 1 and meet minimum academic criteria will be invited to apply for the Honors Program .

Description

The Yoder Scholars competition takes place during Honors Weekend, held each February. Participation is not required for entrance into the honors program; all students who meet the requirements for the honors program are invited to Honors Weekend and are eligible to enter EMU as honors students. Only those who wish to participate in the Yoder Scholars competition need to complete the Yoder Scholars tasks.
