Betty Moxley Snyder Memorial Scholarship
Established with a gift from the Estate of Betty Moxley Snyder.
Scholarships are intended to benefit students who are in good standing and admitted as a full-time student at James Madison University in a four to five year graduation track. First preference is given to residents of Buena Vista, VA or Rockbridge County, VA. The Director of Scholarships selects a student, preferably an entering freshman, each year. As long as the student maintained good standing with the university, he or she may received this tuition-scholarship each year up to, but not exceeding four years, unless a fifth year is applicable to the degree sought.

An endowed scholarship established by the JMU Class of 1988 as a class gift to the University. The recipient shall be an undergraduate student with GPA of 2.5 or above; an active member of any University organization; financial need is not to be of primary importance but should be a consideration; each recipient will receive the scholarship each of the four years of attendance at JMU while other criteria is maintained. An endowed scholarship established by Dr. John H. Harding, Jr., DDS of Burgess, Virginia in honor of his father, John H. Harding, for his encouragement, love and support.
