The Engineering Technology Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen and transfer students intending to major in Engineering Technology. Description

The Erwin G. Ackerman Scholarship is awarded to a full-time freshman entering UW Oshkosh in the summer or fall following high school graduation, with plans to pursue a degree in the field of engineering. Applicant must have graduated from a high school in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and have a strong academic record, particularly in math and science. Applicant must submit three letters of recommendation and a statement about their interest in engineering and their career goals. Financial need is not a consideration. Awards are renewed each semester for a total of four consecutive semesters, providing applicant maintains full-time status at UW Oshkosh, a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and continues to pursue an engineering degree.

Applicant must file the FAFSA and the award will not exceed the applicant?s financial need. Students who qualify as a National Merit Finalist may receive a full-ride to UW Oshkosh, which includes: full cost of resident tuition, standard room/board and an $800 book allowance for eight semesters. (Nonresident students who qualify for Titan National Scholars may combine both awards to cover full tuition charges.) This scholarship is valued at more than $15,000 per year! No scholarship application is necessary.

Description

Students must have a qualifying score to be considered a National Achievement Finalist. Students with a qualifying score must submit a copy of their finalist letter to Justin Stigler in the UW Oshkosh Admissions Office and enroll at UW Oshkosh immediately following high school graduation. Those that do, have the opportunity to earn credit for Wisconsin in-state tuition. This scholarship is renewable with satisfactory academic performance (3.0 cumulative GPA and completion of 24 credits earned each year).

Description

The Joan Luce Scholarship for Orchestral Strings was established by the estate of Dr. Joan Luce, faculty member in the UW Oshkosh music department, 1969-1998. Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled at or accepted for admission to UW Oshkosh. Applicant must be a student in the College of Letters and Science with a declared major or minor in the music program with primary applied instrument as orchestral strings (defined as violin, viola, cello, double bass or harp). Preference will be given to music majors. Applicant must meet the minimum criteria established by the department of music for their department-wide scholarship selection process. Provided the recipient maintains the criteria listed above and maintains an overall grade-point average of 3.0 or higher, the scholarship is renewable for a total of four semesters. This award is given at the discretion of the UW Oshkosh Music Department based on the applicant?s audition.

Description

Army ROTC at UW Oshkosh offers two, three and four-year scholarships to qualified students who are motivated to become Officers in the United States Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve. All Army ROTC scholarships cover full tuition, fees, books to a maximum of $1,200 per year, and a cash stipend. The stipend is $300, $350, $400 and $500 per month as a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior respectively. Applications for this scholarship are accepted year-round.
